WinLase Support

Are you having trouble installing or running the WinLase Demo or a licensed copy of WinLase? Please check first at the sections below, if there is already a solution for your specific problem or an answer to your questions. In addition, the WinLase online manual gives many  step-by-step solutions for the most common tasks.

If you experience any further problems please contact us at support@winlase.com

Note for licensed WinLase users: Please include your serial number and the name of the original licensee in your support request!

Please include a screen shot of the WinLase desktop and/or the specific WinLase project file with your support request when you are having specific questions. A screen shot is easily obtained by by pressing the [Prt Scrn]-button when viewing the WinLase desktop. This action  copies the screen contents into the Windows clipboard. Then, simply paste it into a picture program (e.g. Windows Paint) and save it as a file (TIFF or BMP). This file can be easily attached to your e-mail.

Support for WinLase Demo Users:

Problem:
The installation fails ("file not found", "path not found", "read error", or similar message)

Solution:

  1. Make sure that you close all other Windows applications before executing the WinLase setup program.
  2.

  3. Use the directory suggested (c:\winlase) by the setup program as the installation  directory. Note: With some operating system versions there is a problem if you enter different directories which are located in subdirectories.
  4.

  5. If you are using the ZIP-file demo version you might experience the following problem: this demo requires that you use the "Use Folder Names"-feature of your unzip-program. Otherwise, the files will be extracted into a single folder and the setup program will fail.
